Most car detailing prices Brisbane drivers find online are starting figures, and ours work the same way. Preema packages begin at $145 for a Mini Detail on the outside of the car and reach $495 for a Signature detail inside and out. Interior-only work starts at $195, and pre-sale packages with listing photos start at $395.

Your final figure depends on the size of the vehicle and its condition, and we confirm it with you before any work begins. Because we are mobile, there is no call-out fee added on top. You can see every option on our Brisbane car detailing page, and this guide explains what each price buys and how to compare quotes properly.

Car detailing prices Brisbane: every package at a glance

Each figure below is a from price. Bigger vehicles and cars that need extra attention cost more, which is why we always talk through the job before starting. Times are approximate and give you a sense of how much hands-on work goes into each tier.

Exterior packages

  • Mini Detail, from $145, around 1 to 2 hours: a snow foam hand wash and tidy for a car that is already in decent shape
  • Exterior Emerald, from $245, around 2 to 2.5 hours: a more thorough clean of paint, wheels and glass
  • Exterior Diamond, from $345, around 2.5 to 3 hours: our most detailed outside package, with iron decontamination to lift bonded grime from the paint

Interior packages

  • Interior Emerald, from $195, around 2 hours
  • Interior Diamond, from $245, around 3 to 4 hours, for cabins that need more stain work and time on the details

Both include vacuuming, steam cleaning, leather care and stain treatment, with the higher tier allowing more time where the cabin needs it. Our interior detailing guide covers what happens inside the car in more depth.

Inside and out

  • Sapphire, from $245, around 2 to 3 hours
  • Emerald, from $325, around 3 to 4 hours
  • Diamond, from $395, around 4 to 5 hours
  • Signature, from $495, around 5 to 6 hours

Selling, protecting and tinting

  • Pre-Sale Diamond from $395 and Pre-Sale Signature from $495, both with 40+ professional photos for your listing
  • Gtechniq ceramic coating from $495 for the interior, $1,095 for the exterior and $1,295 for both
  • Window tinting from $295, installed at your home or work
  • Paint correction, priced by quote after we have looked at the paint

What moves a quote up or down

Two cars booked into the same package can take very different amounts of time. The starting price covers a typical job, and a few factors decide where your car lands.

Vehicle size

A seven-seat SUV, a dual-cab ute or a people mover has more paint, more glass, more seats and more carpet than a small hatchback. More surface takes more time, so larger vehicles sit above the starting figure even when they are reasonably clean.

Condition

This is usually the biggest variable. A car that is washed and vacuumed every few weeks is quick to bring up, while one that has carried kids, dogs and sports gear for a year needs far more work. These are the things that most often add time:

  • Pet hair woven into carpet and seat fabric
  • Sand and grit packed into seat rails and door pockets
  • Old spills, food stains and sticky cup holders
  • Mould spots or a musty smell from a cabin that stayed damp
  • Bird droppings, sap or insect residue baked onto the paint
  • Heavy brake dust caked into the wheels

The level of finish you want

A Mini Detail and a Diamond detail are different jobs, not the same job at different speeds. If the paint has swirls you want removed, that is paint correction, which is quoted separately because it depends on how marked the paint is.

Why the Brisbane climate can add time

Local conditions leave their mark on a car, and some of that shows up in the quote. Strong sun heats panels quickly, so droppings, bugs and tree sap set hard and need careful softening before they can be lifted without scratching the clear coat.

Humidity plays a part inside the car. Damp towels, wet shoes and storm-soaked floor mats keep moisture in the carpet, and a cabin that stays damp for weeks can develop mildew that takes extra steam and treatment to clear. Storm season adds its own grime too, with muddy splash marks along the sills and leaf litter in the scuttle panel below the windscreen.

How to compare detailing quotes fairly

Package names mean little on their own. One business might call a quick wash and vacuum a full detail, while another uses the same name for a five-hour job. Before you compare prices, compare what you are actually getting.

  • What steps are included, written out rather than summed up in a package name
  • How long the detailer expects to spend on your car
  • Which products are used, and whether they are professional grade
  • Whether the quoted figure is fixed or a from price, and when the final price is confirmed
  • Whether travel or call-out fees are added for a mobile service
  • What recent reviews say about the finish and the communication

A quote far below everyone else usually means less time on the car. A useful way to think about it:

  • Express wash: a fast clean of the outside, often with a quick vacuum, good for upkeep
  • Mid-tier detail: a careful hand wash, wheels, glass and a proper interior clean
  • Full detail: everything above plus decontamination, steam cleaning, stain treatment and time on the small areas people notice

Preema has 277+ five-star Google reviews, and we would rather explain a quote than surprise you with it.

Which package suits your car

Start with what is bothering you about the car, then pick the level that fixes it.

  • Kept tidy and just due for a freshen up: a Mini Detail or a Sapphire inside and out
  • Clean outside but tired inside: Interior Emerald, or Interior Diamond if there are stains
  • Family car that works hard every day: an Emerald or Diamond detail inside and out
  • About to be listed for sale: a pre-sale package, explained in our guide to preparing a car to sell
  • New or newly corrected paint you want to keep that way: a ceramic coating, covered in our ceramic coating guide

When a lower tier is the smarter choice

Spending more does not always make sense. If your car was detailed a few months ago and has been washed carefully since, a Mini Detail or Sapphire may be all it needs. Paying for a Diamond detail on a car that is already clean buys time the car does not need.

The opposite is also true. Booking the cheapest package for a car with heavy stains, pet hair and a musty cabin usually means the job runs short of time, and you end up disappointed with the result. Be honest about the condition when you ask for a quote, and we will point you to the tier that matches it.

Getting more value from every detail

The cheapest detail is the one that does not have to fight months of build-up. Regular light cleaning keeps a car close to its last detail, so each visit takes less time and you can often book a lower tier.

Park in shade when you can, rinse off droppings and bugs before they bake on, and shake out the floor mats after a wet week. Inside, deal with spills straight away and do not leave damp gear in a closed car. Small habits like these keep your next quote closer to the starting figure.
