The idea behind the mobile car detailing Brisbane customers book with Preema is simple. The detail happens where your car already is. We arrive at your home, office or apartment car park in a fully equipped van, detail the car on the spot and leave it ready to drive, with no call-out fee.
You get the same packages and the same standard of work, without giving up a morning to sit in a waiting room. Every package and price is listed on our Brisbane car detailing page. Here is how booking works, what happens on the day and what kind of result to expect.
How booking works
A good detail starts with good information. The more we know before we arrive, the smoother the visit and the more accurate your price.
- Choose a package, or tell us what bothers you about the car and we will suggest one
- Let us know the make, model and condition, and send a few photos if you can
- Give us the address and tell us about access, height limits or parking when you book
- We confirm the price with you before any work begins
Quotes are free, and we are happy to talk through the options if you are unsure which tier you need. Our price guide sets out every package if you want to compare them first.
What happens on the day
Most of the visit runs without needing you, but a few minutes at the start and end make a real difference.
Arrival and walk-around
Your detailer arrives at the agreed time, finds the car and does a walk-around with you if you are available. This is the time to point out a stain you want looked at, a smell you have noticed or any area that needs extra care.
The exterior
Outside work begins with a snow foam pre-wash to loosen dirt before anything touches the paint. A hand wash follows, then wheels, tyres and glass, with iron decontamination on the higher tiers to lift bonded grime. Trims and tyres are finished so the car looks crisp, not greasy.
The interior
Inside, the cabin is vacuumed from the boot to the footwells, then steam cleaned where it needs it. Stains are treated, leather is cleaned and cared for, and vents, cup holders, door pockets and the console get the detailed attention that makes a cabin feel properly clean.
The handover
When we are done, we walk you around the finished car, or let you know it is ready if you are busy. You can check the result, ask questions and get a few tips on keeping it that way.
Why mobile detailing makes sense
Taking a car somewhere to be cleaned costs more than the price on the invoice. Here is how the two approaches compare for most people:
- Travel: driving somewhere and back, often twice, compared with no travel at all
- Waiting: sitting in a waiting room or arranging a lift, compared with carrying on with your day
- Timing: fitting around someone else's opening hours, compared with a visit to where your car already sits
- Result: the same packages and products either way, because the van brings everything with it
For busy households, the saving in time is often the main reason people book a mobile detail, and the reason they keep booking it.
Home, office or apartment car park
We can detail your car in most places it is regularly parked. Each location works a little differently, so here is what to expect at each.
At home
A home visit is the easiest option for most people. The car can sit in the driveway, a carport or a garage while you work from home, look after the kids or get on with the weekend. You do not need to wait beside it, and there is no travel time at either end.
If your car is usually parked on the street, mention it when you book so we can plan for it. Tell us about anything unusual, such as a steep driveway or a tight garage, so we arrive prepared.
At the office
For many people, the car spends more daylight hours in a work car park than anywhere else. Booking a detail there means it is done while you are at your desk, and you walk out at the end of the day to a clean car.
Leave the keys with reception or meet the detailer briefly when they arrive. If you work in the city, our Brisbane CBD detailing page has more on city bookings.
In an apartment or shared car park
Apartment basements and shared car parks work well for many bookings. The key is planning. Our vans need to fit under the entry, so tell us about access, height limits or parking when you book, along with which level and bay the car is in.
If visitor parking is limited or the building uses a swipe or intercom, let us know how we get in. A few details at booking save time on the day and help the visit run smoothly.
Whichever location you choose, the car needs to stay put for the length of the package. Check the timing guide for your tier so you know roughly when it will be ready, and avoid booking on a day you might suddenly need to drive somewhere.
Mobile car detailing Brisbane: the results to expect
A mobile detail is a full detail, not a quick wash in a car park. You can expect clean, glossy paint, bright wheels, clear glass and a cabin that looks and smells fresh. Preema has 277+ five-star Google reviews, and much of that feedback is about the finish.
It helps to know what a detail can and cannot do. Grime, stains, odours and dull trims respond well. Deep scratches, stone chips and torn upholstery will look tidier but will not disappear. If the paint needs more than a detail, paint correction removes swirls and light scratches.
Some jobs suit a specific package. If you are selling, our guide to pre-sale detailing covers presentation and listing photos. If the cabin is the problem, our interior detailing guide explains how we deal with humidity, smells and stains.
Booking around Brisbane weather
Summer brings heat and afternoon storms, and both affect detailing. Hot paint dries soap and water quickly, which is why a careful detailer works panel by panel and keeps surfaces cool. If you have some flexibility, ask about morning times during the hottest months.
If a big storm is forecast for the day of your booking, talk to us. A freshly detailed car looks its best when it is not caught in a downpour on the drive home, and we would rather plan around the weather than rush the job.
How to get the most from your visit
A little preparation lets your detailer spend their time on cleaning rather than clearing.
- Take personal items, loose change and rubbish out of the cabin, boot and glovebox
- Remove child seats if you can, so the seats underneath can be cleaned properly
- Point out any stains, smells or marks you want prioritised
- Let us know about any recent paintwork or repairs on the car
- Keep the keys handy, or arrange where they will be left
